This water profile was designed by Christopher Feran for Aviary Coffee and other very light roasts.

In collaboration with Feran, we reproduced his intended mineral profile as a fully-dissolved concentrate set with separate hardness and buffer, for absolute consistency and adjustability.

Simply dilute the provided mineral concentrates with zero TDS water. This concentrate set does not include the extraction booster.

Customers outside of USA are responsible for duty fees.

Silica

Simple Easy to Use Water Profile

For those who primarily brew light roasts e.g. Sey, Hydrangea, Aviary etc., the Aviary profile is a simple way to optimize water. I recommend it for an simpler workflow

Empirical water

I love this product. I’m coming from using third wave water for about 1.5 years. I used that diluted to half strength for reference. Empirical water is just so forgiving and it tastes more natural if that makes sense. Even if you do a “bad” brew, it’s still drinkable. The clarity is higher and the acidity has an overall better presence. Overall it’s less harsh than anything else I’ve used.

Great water for Aviary, coffee generally

It's making the best out of the Aviary I've been getting, along with Ilse and Hydrangea. But it's also making medium roast pop too.

I definitely prefer this to the packets I was buying, although those are a fine option.

Aviary No Brainer Formula

This is an ideal kit and formula. Perfect for my light roast pour overs. Very simple and quick to produce. I whip up a gallon at a time in literally 3-4 minutes. 81-83 ppm tds. Additionally, Christopher Feran endorsed the product.

Water is essential and this one is great

Who would have thought that water would make a difference? Until you remember that more than 98% of your coffee is just that water. Bad water can kill great beans. This is great water and the beans will shine.
